About Monique Creber
MONIQUE CREBER is a versatile and engaging performer who possesses a rich alto singing voice that the Vancouver Province described as “eerily similar to that of the late, great Karen Carpenter”. On stage, Monique performs in a wide variety of concerts and musical theatre productions; in addition to being the featured guest singer with Canadian & American symphony orchestras. In the studio, Monique has sung for several TV series (e.g. My Little Pony, Friendship Is Magic, Martha Speaks, George of the Jungle and The Collector); backup vocals on many albums (including a Chickenfoot with Sammy Hagar and Joe Satriani); and lead vocals on albums such as At Home (a CreberBrown acoustic-styled collaboration with Andrea Libman), A Creber Christmas, and her own original, All For You. Monique also stays busy as an artist manager, producer, writer, arranger, teacher, career consultant and musical director (e.g. Wizard of Oz, Joseph, Sound of Music, Hairspray, Grease and FAME.) As an educator, Monique has owned a 500-student music school; trained teachers from all over the world; and taught vocal, piano & musical theatre programs in schools. She currently conducts the Cypress Singers choir in addition to coaching singers and actors for on-camera, stage or voiceover roles.
